He is also an angel investor with several exits in both human and pet health, and is an advisor to several companies, nonprofits, and ecosystem initiatives. He is a vocal advocate for making biotech breakthroughs available to more people (and their pets).

Dr. Kaeberlein is a leading animal aging researcher, founding Director of the Healthy Aging and Longevity Research Institute, and Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He has published over 200 papers, serves on the editorial boards for Science, eLife and GeroScience, and is the Editor-in-Chief for Translational Medicine of Aging. He is also the former President of the American Aging Association and serves on the Executive Committee and Board.

She spent ten years at Zoetis where she served as Vice President of Commercial Development & Lifecycle Management for Ruminants. She also led Global Marketing for Cargill Animal Nutrition and Health. Caroline earned her MBA from Columbia University and her DVM from Tufts University.

Founder and CEO of Spot Group, a premier pet services business with partnerships across real estate, Fortune 500, travel and hospitality companies. Founded, built and raised the capital for the venture through a network of strategic high-net-worth individuals, private equity and strategic partners. Successfully sold the company in 2017 to a large, strategic brand in the same industry. Has since been a Senior Consultant, Board Member and Fundraiser in the pet, vet and animal health space.

Dr. Artem Trotsyuk is a bioengineer and computer scientist by training. Artem experience focuses on on early stage investments (pre-seed, seed, up to Series A), supporting entrepreneurs turn their ideas and visions into successful companies. Outside AniVC, Artem is a lecturer in Stanford University on bio-entrepreneurship programs. Artem's research interests lie in bioengineering, gene editing, wearables, CRISPR therapy, regenerative medicine and ethical use of data in drug development.

Aurora Griffin

Aurora leads fundraising and investor relations at AniVC, and at the human-focused longevity fund, LongeVC. Former VP at Bernstein Private Wealth, with roles in private equity and capital acquisition in real estate. Former business school professor and State Department official. Published author, Stanford MBA, MPhil from Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar, and AB in Classics from Harvard. Her rescue dog, Arwen, is her pride and joy.
Dr. Lairmore is the immediate past dean of the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. During his tenure, he led strategic initiatives across six academic departments, the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, and several research centers. His efforts expanded clinical trials, global health programs, diversity initiatives, and student services, including mental health support. Under his leadership, the school achieved top rankings globally and raised over $300 million. A board-certified expert in pathology, virology, and immunology, he is a member of the National Academy of Medicine and a Fellow of multiple scientific societies.
